Creating a payday for the professional cyclists who compete in the Reading 120, presented by Reading Health System, and a world-class sporting event for spectators is not good enough for our Reading 120 core organizing group. We also hold ourselves accountable and measure success by whether or not we are fulfilling the bigger vision of community development and engagement. To that end, riding with and working with our community's youth is a hyper-important part of our mission. Thanks to sponsors like Penn National Gaming for providing funding for the youth training and development part of the Reading 120. Here we see a part of the weekly Roll Right Reading ride and our youth sprint training session. There will be a youth sprint race within the Reading 120 in the area of the start/finish zone in Reading's City Park on race day, 9/10/16. This session was run by adult volunteer leaders Dani Motze, Nick Price, Fred Heinly and Dave Kline.
